NEW YORK, June 29, 2012 --Moody's Investors Service has withdrawn the Aa3 rating assigned to Carolinas Medical Center - Union's (formerly known as Union Regional Medical Center) Series 2002A and 2002B bonds, issued by the North Carolina Medical Care Commission. The bonds, which were guaranteed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority (d/b/a Carolinas HealthCare System), were defeased following the issuance of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority's Series 2012A bonds.
