NEW YORK, February 29, 2012 --Moody's Investors Service has assigned a Aa2 rating to the Borough of Hawthorne's (NJ) $4.4 million General Improvement Refunding Bonds, Series 2012A and $400,000 Water Utility Refunding Bonds, Series 2012B. Concurrently, we have affirmed the Aa2 rating on $9.8 million in outstanding parity debt, including the current issue. The bonds are general obligations of the borough, secured by an unlimited tax pledge. The bonds will be used to refund the borough's outstanding 2004 General Improvement Bonds and Water Utility Bonds for an expected net present value savings of 4.5% of refunded par without extension of original maturities...
