Real-time Trades - See what traded 2 minutes ago
February 3, 2009We’re pleased to announce that MunicipalBonds.com has activated real-time pricing on all of our state pages. As a part of our ongoing test launch process, we have started to display trades on a minute-by-minute basis. When you click on California, you can see the latest trades that happened in the municipal marketplace. This means that every single trade of your state’s bonds will be reported to you on a minute-by-minute basis as each trade is reported. As a part of the testing process, some of the functionality on MunicipalBonds.com will be a little slower as we incorporate real-time pricing.
Based on feedback from our community, we will be bringing back the archives detailing trades over the past 9 years. Please provide feedback on our real-time data efforts. Do you prefer to see all of yesterday’s trades or today’s trades as they happen in real-time? We will have both, but what is more critical. What would you personally use more and find more relevant? Comment below or call us at 203-539-6030.
A note on our launch: Within the first 5 days of our test launch on Jan 30, we have surpassed an audience of over 10,000 unique visitors. We’re pretty sure that this is the largest audience of individual municipal bond investors in America. Thank you for making this happen. Based on our conversations with many of you, we are also confident that we reach the wealthiest and savviest audience of individual investors out there. Based on the investment assets under our audience’s control, the MunicipalBonds.com community collectively controls 10’s of billions of $. Continue to tell us what you need and we will incorporate your feedback into improving all aspects of MunicipalBonds.com.

Where is the Highest Yields page?
you can see highest yields on any given state page, but you can only see the highest yields in a given state. We will be putting up the National page that aggregates all the data from all of the states shortly.
Once you find a bond you’re interested in on this site, how do you actually purchase it?
Teej - this is a great question. The bonds that you are seeing are bonds that have traded. We will be posting an article in the next 2 days that covers this.
I’m new to this municipal bond trading. Where do I go to start buying municipal bonds on line?
I´d like to know if theres a possibility to see all the bonds before they are purchased (i.e. when the city launches the public offering to all potential investors) so I can call my broker and make a bid for them. Thanks.
What is the best on line site for municipal bond dealers
Will you be adding CUSIPs? The abbreviated descriptions are insufficient to identify the specific bonds traded.
larry - when you click on a security description, you can see the CUSIP. There is an entire page devoted to each issue and CUSIP…you will be able to see every trade for every single CUSIP on our system.
Ernesto: Call your broker & tell him what you want to do. EJB.
