Search Municipal Bonds Prices for All 50 States

Every US state has its own Market Data section. Every trade reported to Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board is listed in its respective State-section.

Simply click on a state on the right side where all of the state’s are listed to get to the right state section.

On each State page, you will first go to the page with the most recent trades for this state’s municipal bonds.

For our example, let’s use California:

On the yellow-highlighted area below, you can see Recent Trades, Highest Yields, Most Active Issues, and you can even sort Yields by Year.

Example:

More ways to sort the data:

On each of the category headings, you can click on it to sort the trades. For instance, if you click on Yield, all of the trades will be sorted from highest to lowest. If you click on Yield again, it will sort the data from lowest to highest.

You can click on a number of bond types such as Schools, Hospitals, Water-Sewer-Power, Prerefunded, and others.

Schools

Clicking on schools will give you all of the school bonds traded in CA today. This will give you all of the School district bonds that traded today.

You can also search by entering your town’s name or place within the state’s section.

How do I look at trades from other dates and not just the current date? I have to admit that it was much easier to find trades for other dates under the prior format. Also, the search feature does not seem to work well as I have entered the name of a conduit borrower as listed in trades and the issuer and never get any hits when I know there have been trades in the past few weeks? Thanks

Bruce - we’re adding the archives in a more searchable form. The search function only works on today’s trades, but we’re changing that to include the archives as well.

I liked the old format better!!!

Have you done away with the table that alphabetically listed all trades within a state and presented spreads, maturity etc. ?

  • admin says:

Jim - you can click “security description” on top and see all of the trades in alphabetical order. You can also click on any given security description and see every trade for that issue. We’ll bring a single page view that you can view alphabetically this week.

I would like to be able to research bonds by cusip number. Is there a way to get this information?

  • susan says:

I got until 2 days ago the states trades e mailed to me every day, Michigan and Kentucky. It stopped..what happened

  • admin says:

Robert - just enter the CUSIP number in the search box. Additionally, if you click on any security description, you will see the CUSIP on the page dedicated to that particular issue.
